Intermediate QA Analyst responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test cases for insurance software, ensuring quality through manual testing, defect management, and basic automation support using JIRA and SQL.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for new and existing insurance applications.
- Perform manual functional, regression, and integration testing to validate business requirements.
- Log, track, and verify defects in JIRA, collaborating with developers and product owners to resolve issues.
- Assist in creating and maintaining automated test scripts using basic automation tools where applicable.
- Analyze test results, prepare detailed test reports, and provide actionable feedback to improve product quality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- 2+ years of QA experience in a software development environment.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques and defect lifecycle management.
- Proficiency with JIRA and basic SQL queries for data validation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and understanding of Agile principles.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
