Systems Engineer
Design, develop, and validate advanced rocket propulsion systems, leading cross‑functional teams and conducting analysis, testing, and integration using C++, Python, MATLAB, and CFD tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and performance analysis of liquid and solid rocket propulsion subsystems, including thrust chambers, injectors, and turbopumps.
- Develop and execute high‑fidelity models using Computational Fluid Dynamics, MATLAB/Simulink, and custom C++/Python code to predict system behavior.
- Coordinate hardware‑in‑the‑loop and full‑scale test campaigns, analyze data, and certify hardware for flight qualification.
- Collaborate with structures, controls, and avionics teams to integrate propulsion components into launch vehicle architectures.
- Generate technical documentation, trade studies, and risk assessments to support mission requirements and schedule milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of propulsion or related aerospace experience.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and MATLAB for modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM) and propulsion test facilities.
- Strong systems engineering background, including requirements management, verification, and validation processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and travel up to 25%.
