Experienced Project Manager/PMO Consultant leading defence and security programmes, driving governance, agile delivery, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment across complex, multi‑disciplinary initiatives.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate large‑scale defence and security projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.
- Establish and maintain PMO governance frameworks, reporting structures, and performance metrics.
- Apply Agile and hybrid delivery approaches to optimise project execution and adapt to changing requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, implementing contingency plans to safeguard project outcomes.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross‑functional teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing complex projects within the defence or security sector.
- Strong knowledge of PMO processes, Agile methodologies, and risk management techniques.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master) are preferred.
