Experienced Project Management/PMO Consultant driving defence and security programmes, applying Agile and governance frameworks, risk controls, and stakeholder coordination to deliver complex, high‑impact initiatives.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multi‑disciplinary project teams delivering defence and security solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Establish and maintain PMO governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and performance metrics across the programme portfolio.
- Apply Agile and hybrid project management approaches to manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality while adapting to evolving requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions and contingency plans.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, communication, and decision‑making with senior client and internal leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement of project processes, tools, and best practices within the defence and security context.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management or PMO roles within defence, security, or related high‑complexity sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, PRINCE2, or similar methodologies and ability to tailor them to programme needs.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management, governance, and performance reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior leaders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Scrum Master) are highly desirable.
