About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate survival and thermal system designs for crewed spacecraft, ensuring compliance with NASA JETS II requirements.
- Perform thermal analyses, heat‑transfer calculations, and model simulations using MATLAB/Simulink and specialized tools.
- Create and maintain detailed CAD models and engineering drawings, supporting cross‑functional hardware integration.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and NASA stakeholders to manage technical interfaces and resolve design issues.
- Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and documentation for reviews, audits, and certification processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in systems or thermal engineering for aerospace or high‑reliability applications.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo) and thermal analysis tools (MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS).
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, adhere to NASA standards, and deliver technical documentation.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
