Software Engineer
Project Engineer supporting civil and environmental projects, reviewing plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating construction activities using AutoCAD and GIS tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Engineering Managers in reviewing and approving civil and environmental engineering plans and specifications.
- Prepare and analyze construction documents, drawings, and reports to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and city departments to resolve design and construction issues.
- Support project scheduling, cost estimation, and progress tracking for multiple concurrent projects.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and update project management databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS software for drafting and spatial analysis.
- Strong understanding of construction codes, environmental regulations, and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a municipal environment.
