Software Engineer
Remote professional land surveyor who leads survey projects, manages field crews, performs QC of staking and as‑built data, and ensures compliance with design tolerances using CAD and GIS tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily activities of survey field crews, including check‑in/check‑out of equipment and shot data.
- Review and perform quality control checks on staking, shot, and as‑built survey data to ensure accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
- Develop and maintain linework and as‑built drawings using AutoCAD and GIS platforms.
- Collaborate with the Survey Coordinator to manage project schedules, data delivery, and client communications.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies, field issues, and tolerances deviations promptly.
Requirements
- Professional Land Surveyor license or equivalent experience with proven field surveying expertise.
- Proficiency in survey software such as Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, and GIS applications.
- Strong understanding of total station, GPS, and other surveying equipment operation.
- Experience conducting QA/QC reviews and managing survey data workflows.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and remote collaboration skills.
