Professional Engineer - Flightdeck Integration, Human Factors & Ergonomics - Bombardier

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of flightdeck hardware and software, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Apply human factors and ergonomics principles to optimize cockpit layout, controls, and displays for pilot effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, interface control documents, and integration test plans.
• Conduct usability and ergonomic assessments, including mock‑up evaluations and simulator testing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, manufacturing, certification) to resolve integration issues and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Human Factors, Ergonomics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in flightdeck integration or cockpit design projects.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and systems engineering methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of human factors principles, usability testing, and ergonomic standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to influence multidisciplinary stakeholders.
