Software Engineer
Professional Engineer providing civil and environmental engineering support, including design review, stormwater management, and construction oversight using AutoCAD and GIS tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Engineering Services Director and senior engineers with civil and environmental project design, analysis, and documentation.
- Review and approve plans, specifications, and calculations for public works, utilities, and stormwater infrastructure.
- Prepare and update engineering drawings and GIS data using AutoCAD and related software.
- Coordinate construction activities, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Support permitting processes and liaise with regulatory agencies on environmental compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 3+ years of experience in municipal or public‑sector engineering projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS, and stormwater management design tools.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal construction and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
