Security Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of security architectures for the MQ‑28 autonomous system, protecting mission hardware, avionics, firmware, data links, and ground stations using advanced threat modeling and secure development practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end security solutions across hardware, firmware, software, and data links for the MQ‑28 autonomous platform.
- Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews for new and evolving system components.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, and avionics teams to embed security controls early in the development lifecycle.
- Define and enforce secure coding standards, perform code reviews, and integrate automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, incident response plans, and compliance artifacts for aerospace standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in embedded systems security, firmware hardening, and secure software development.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for security tooling and automation.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity architecture, threat modeling, and secure SDLC practices.
- Experience with avionics or aerospace security standards (e.g., DO‑178C, DO‑254) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
