About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate secure firmware and bootloaders for embedded devices.
- Conduct hardware and firmware penetration testing, reverse engineering, and vulnerability assessments.
- Integrate cryptographic primitives and secure key management into product designs.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and QA teams to embed security controls early in the development lifecycle.
- Document security requirements, threat models, and mitigation strategies for product releases.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in hardware and firmware security engineering.
- Proficiency in Embedded C, assembly, and low‑level debugging tools.
- Deep knowledge of secure boot, TPM, hardware root of trust, and cryptographic protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with reverse engineering tools (IDA, Ghidra) and vulnerability analysis.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate security concepts to cross‑functional teams.
