About the Role
We are seeking a Temporary Product Owner (PO) to lead the Electronic Brake Control System (EBS) development team . This role involves technical leadership, agile team coordination, supplier discussions, system architecture strategy implementation, and ensuring compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards .
As the interim Product Owner , you will be responsible for prioritizing work items, managing requirements, and ensuring timely, high-quality software and system deliveries . You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and key stakeholders to drive innovation and maintain system integrity.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Technical Leadership – Lead an Agile development team consisting of Function Owners and Developers focused on brake control systems. ✔️ Agile Project Management – Prioritize work items, oversee daily stand-ups, and manage the PI (Program Increment) plan for the team. ✔️ Cross-Team Collaboration – Align requirements with key stakeholders, including the testing team, HMI teams, and powertrain division . ✔️ System Architecture & Supplier Management – Lead discussions on EBS functionality and system integration with suppliers and business partners. ✔️ Functional Safety & Cybersecurity – Oversee FMEA, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Hazard Analysis, Functional Safety Concept, Safety Case approvals, and Cybersecurity TARA risk evaluation . ✔️ Verification & Validation – Define and implement the test strategy for EBS functions , following V-model methodologies , ensuring software readiness before release. ✔️ Issue Resolution & Quality Control – Lead the resolution of product issues , whether they arise during development, manufacturing, or in real-world customer applications . ✔️ Coaching & Mentorship – Support junior team members, foster a culture of continuous learning , and act as a role model for professional development.
Required Qualifications & Experience
✅ 10+ years of experience in automotive software development , with expertise in chassis systems & electronic brake control systems . ✅ Deep vehicle dynamics knowledge and an understanding of brake system integration . ✅ Strong team leadership & organizational skills , with experience in decision-making, planning, and prioritization . ✅ Experience in Agile methodologies and managing cross-functional collaborations. ✅ Strong knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434), and FMEA methodologies . ✅ Fluent in English (written & verbal) . ✅ Valid driver’s license (B required, C preferred) .
