Software Engineer
Lead the design, development, and testing of EV charging hardware, integrating power electronics, firmware, and compliance with EV charging protocols to deliver reliable, high‑performance charging solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PCB layouts and firmware for EV charging units, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 15118 and IEC 61851.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define hardware specifications, select components, and optimize power conversion efficiency.
- Lead hardware validation, including functional, thermal, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, and troubleshoot issues in prototype and production builds.
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts (Python/Matlab) to accelerate regression testing and data collection.
- Document design decisions, create detailed schematics, and produce manufacturing and assembly instructions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded hardware design for power electronics or automotive applications.
- Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad) and firmware development in Embedded C.
- Strong understanding of EV charging standards, power converter topologies, and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
