Software Engineer
Design and develop steering column components, applying CAD modeling, FEA, and GD&T to deliver high‑performance automotive steering systems while collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models and drawings of steering column assemblies using SolidWorks and CATIA.
- Perform structural and dynamic analysis with Finite Element Analysis tools to validate performance and safety requirements.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure manufacturability and compliance with automotive standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supplier engineering to resolve design issues and support prototype testing.
- Utilize MATLAB for data analysis, simulation, and validation of design concepts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 2–5 years of product development experience in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA for 3D modeling and detailed drawing creation.
- Strong knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and GD&T practices.
- Experience with MATLAB or similar analytical tools for simulation and data interpretation.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
