Systems Engineer
Design, implement and optimise automated process control systems for a leading cereal manufacturing operation, leveraging PLC programming, SCADA/HMI interfaces and data acquisition to improve efficiency and product quality.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure and commission PLC‑based control systems for cereal production lines.
- Develop and maintain SCADA/HMI visualisation screens to monitor process performance.
- Analyse process data, identify improvement opportunities and implement automation solutions to increase yield and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, maintenance, quality) to ensure system reliability and compliance with food safety standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for control hardware and software during start‑up and ongoing operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation or related field.
- Proven experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen‑Bradley) and SCADA/HMI platforms.
- Strong understanding of process control principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&ID diagrams and implement control logic.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, regulated setting.
