About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy statistical and machine‑learning models to analyze and optimize chemical manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with process engineers to translate data insights into actionable process improvements and cost reductions.
- Design and maintain data pipelines, ensuring high‑quality, reliable data from plant sensors and enterprise systems.
- Create interactive visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to cross‑functional teams.
- Conduct root‑cause analyses of process deviations and recommend corrective actions.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and SQL for data manipulation and modeling.
- Strong background in statistical modeling, experimental design, and machine‑learning techniques applied to manufacturing data.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/plotly.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
