Software Engineer
Lead the design, development, and validation of control systems for APU and expendable engines, leveraging embedded C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and PLC expertise to ensure reliability and performance in aerospace applications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement embedded control algorithms for APU and expendable engine subsystems, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
- Develop and maintain high‑integrity code in C/C++ for real‑time control platforms, performing rigorous unit and integration testing.
- Utilize MATLAB/Simulink for model‑based design, simulation, and code generation, iterating designs to meet performance targets.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to integrate control solutions into complete engine systems.
- Lead troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions for flight‑critical control issues.
- Document design decisions, test procedures, and validation results for regulatory and audit purposes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience designing and validating embedded control systems for aerospace or high‑reliability environments.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for real‑time systems and experience with MATLAB/Simulink model‑based design.
- Strong understanding of PLC programming, real‑time operating systems, and safety‑critical software development.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong communication, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
