Software Engineer
Lead advanced transmission projects, designing and managing high‑voltage power systems, substations, and hydroelectric facilities while ensuring reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of high‑voltage transmission lines, substations, and hydroelectric plant interfaces.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for large‑scale transmission projects.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders to secure permits and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and quality control to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in transmission engineering, with a strong background in high‑voltage systems and substation design.
- Proficiency in power system analysis tools (e.g., PSS®E, ETAP) and CAD software.
- Excellent project management skills, including cost estimation, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
