About the role
As a Principal Thermal Engineer at RTX, you will lead the design and development of thermal systems for complex aerospace and defense applications. You will be responsible for the thermal analysis, design, and testing of thermal systems, including heat exchangers, radiators, and other thermal management systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that thermal systems meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing thermal analysis tools and methodologies to improve design efficiency and reduce development time. A strong background in thermal analysis, finite element analysis, and computational fluid dynamics is required. Experience with Python programming language is also highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of thermal systems for complex aerospace and defense applications.
Perform thermal analysis, design, and testing of thermal systems, including heat exchangers, radiators, and other thermal management systems.
Develop and implement thermal analysis tools and methodologies to improve design efficiency and reduce development time.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that thermal systems meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
Develop and maintain thermal analysis models and simulations to support design and testing.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in thermal analysis, design, and testing of thermal systems.
Strong background in thermal analysis, finite element analysis, and computational fluid dynamics.
