Lead advanced technical support for mission‑critical defense systems, leveraging Python, Linux, networking, and AWS expertise to diagnose, resolve, and prevent complex issues while maintaining DoD Secret clearance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tier‑3 support for high‑availability defense platforms, diagnosing root causes and implementing long‑term fixes.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts and automation tools to streamline incident response and system monitoring.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and operations teams to design and test performance‑critical solutions in Linux environments.
- Analyze network traffic, logs, and metrics to identify security and reliability gaps, recommending architectural improvements.
- Document troubleshooting procedures, knowledge base articles, and best‑practice guides for internal use.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical support or systems engineering for complex software/hardware products.
- Proficiency with Linux administration, networking protocols, and Python scripting.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudWatch) and cloud‑native monitoring.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Active U.S. Secret clearance or ability to obtain one within 90 days.
