Security Engineer
Lead the design, integration, and verification of rugged, secure processing solutions for aerospace and defense, applying systems engineering principles and expertise in secure embedded hardware and C/C++ development.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive system architecture for next‑generation rugged, secure processing platforms.
- Lead hardware design, integration, and verification activities across mechanical, electrical, and firmware domains.
- Develop and execute verification and validation test plans to ensure compliance with defense‑grade security and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including software, firmware, and manufacturing—to deliver fully integrated embedded products.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with extensive systems engineering experience.
- Proven expertise in secure embedded system design, including hardware architecture, cryptographic modules, and tamper‑resistant techniques.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ development for low‑level firmware and hardware bring‑up.
- Hands‑on experience with verification methodologies, test equipment, and compliance standards such as DO‑254, IEC 61508, or similar.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
