About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end safety engineering activities for advanced aerospace platforms, ensuring compliance with national and international safety standards.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety cases, risk registers, and safety certification plans.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, integration, testing) to embed safety considerations early in the product development process.
- Provide expert guidance on safety regulations, best practices, and emerging safety technologies.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in systems safety engineering within the aerospace or defense sector.
- Deep knowledge of safety lifecycle processes, risk assessment techniques, and safety standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, and ISO 26262.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex safety concepts into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting safety findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Valid Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
