Implementation Engineer
Lead complex ISR/SOF platform integration efforts, applying model‑based systems engineering, software development (C++/Python), and rigorous test & evaluation to deliver mission‑critical capabilities for the Air Force.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end‑to‑end systems integration for ISR and Special Operations platforms, ensuring compliance with architecture, performance, and safety requirements.
- Develop and maintain model‑based system representations using tools such as SysML and DOORS to capture requirements, interfaces, and traceability.
- Lead software integration activities, writing and reviewing C++ and Python code, and coordinating with hardware and firmware teams.
- Plan, execute, and analyze verification and validation tests, generating test reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional Agile teams, providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers.
- Interface with stakeholders, including program managers and customers, to communicate integration status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience.
- Proven expertise in model‑based systems engineering, requirements management (DOORS), and integration of complex aerospace systems.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, with experience in automated test frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to work in Agile environments and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Top Secret clearance (U.S. citizen) and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
