About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, analysis, and verification of system requirements for advanced aerospace and defense programs.
- Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques using SysML to create and maintain architecture models.
- Manage requirements lifecycle in IBM DOORS, ensuring traceability, compliance, and change control.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—software, hardware, test, and program management—to validate designs through analysis, simulation, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and drive best practices in requirements engineering and validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, Computer Science, or related field; 12+ years of systems engineering experience.
- Proven expertise in requirements development, validation, and verification for complex, safety‑critical systems.
- Hands‑on experience with MBSE tools (SysML) and requirements management tools (IBM DOORS).
- Strong programming skills in C++ (or similar) for modeling, simulation, and test automation.
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
