Systems Engineer
Lead complex defense projects as a Principal Systems Engineer, driving requirements definition, architecture development, and integration while managing schedules, risks, and stakeholder communication.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and validate system requirements and architecture for high‑visibility defense programs.
- Lead cross‑functional teams through concept, design, integration, and test phases, ensuring compliance with DoD standards.
- Develop and maintain system models, simulations, and trade studies to support design decisions and performance verification.
- Manage project schedules, risk assessments, and configuration control to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to communicate technical status and resolve issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience on defense or aerospace projects, with proven leadership in project execution.
- Strong expertise in requirements analysis, modeling & simulation tools, and configuration management processes.
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and team‑leadership skills.
