Principal Systems Engineer - Project - Northrop Grumman

Key Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and validate system requirements and architecture for high‑visibility defense programs.
• Lead cross‑functional teams through concept, design, integration, and test phases, ensuring compliance with DoD standards.
• Develop and maintain system models, simulations, and trade studies to support design decisions and performance verification.
• Manage project schedules, risk assessments, and configuration control to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to communicate technical status and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience on defense or aerospace projects, with proven leadership in project execution.
• Strong expertise in requirements analysis, modeling & simulation tools, and configuration management processes.
• Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and team‑leadership skills.
