Lead the maturation of complex systems in a high‑security aerospace environment, driving automation, continuous integration, and robust production practices using Python and modern DevOps tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee the production maturation of mission‑critical systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance with security standards.
- Design and implement automated test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery and reduce defects.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
- Lead technical reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices in systems engineering and software development.
- Maintain and enhance documentation, configuration management, and release processes for traceability and audit readiness.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in systems engineering and production maturation within aerospace or defense sectors.
- Proficiency in Python, automation scripting, and CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Strong understanding of security clearance processes and ability to operate under a Secret clearance.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication across multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
