The Airborne Sensors & Avionics Integration Department is seeking a Principal Systems Integration Engineer to support system development, planning, and integration activities across multiple mission‑driven programs. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams, customers, and technical leadership to ensure high‑quality execution throughout the life cycle of complex aerospace systems. This is a full‑time, on-site position located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
What You Will Do
Develop data workflows, dashboards, and metric‑tracking systems to support engineering decision‑making for avionics/sensor integration programs
Integrate data sources, tools, and technical components across engineering teams, ensuring usability, accuracy, and alignment with program needs
Coordinate technical activities with cross‑discipline stakeholders (systems, software, cyber, customer teams) to ensure consistent communication and system alignment
Support program reviews by preparing presentations, documenting decisions, and communicating technical status to leadership and government partners
Apply structured, data‑driven problem‑solving to identify issues, analyze root causes, and recommend solutions across tools, databases, and workflows
Integrate tools, systems, and workflows across technical teams in complex environments
Prepare technical reports and/or briefings for leadership, customers, and cross‑functional groups
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of experience designing and implementing databases, SQL queries, metric systems, or dashboards for technical organizations.
