Systems Engineer
Lead the design, integration, and validation of complex defense systems, driving architecture, requirements, and cybersecurity across embedded and cloud platforms using C++ and Python.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end system architecture design, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security for mission‑critical defense platforms.
- Develop and maintain rigorous requirements specifications, traceability matrices, and validation plans.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate embedded firmware, C++ components, and cloud services (AWS) into cohesive solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and cybersecurity hardening to meet Secret‑level clearance standards.
- Mentor junior engineers, review code, and enforce best practices in software and hardware development.
Requirements
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience in defense or aerospace environments.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for embedded and cloud development.
- Strong background in requirements engineering, architecture frameworks, and traceability.
- Experience with cybersecurity standards (NIST, DoD STIG) and threat modeling.
- Valid Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
