About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end systems engineering for mission‑critical platforms, translating stakeholder needs into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain architecture models, ensuring alignment with operational, security, and performance requirements.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams (software, hardware, cyber) to integrate subsystems and validate system behavior.
- Drive requirements traceability, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering for defense or aerospace missions.
- Proficiency in architecture frameworks (e.g., DoD AF, TOGAF) and modeling tools (SysML, UML).
- Strong knowledge of integration testing, verification, and validation processes.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Security clearance or ability to obtain one is highly desirable.
