Lead enterprise‑level MBSE initiatives, architect digital engineering ecosystems, and drive system and system‑of‑systems modeling across DoD contracts, leveraging SysML, UML, and advanced modeling tools to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the strategic vision for digital engineering and MBSE across the organization and DoD contracts.
- Architect and maintain enterprise‑level modeling, architecture, and ontology solutions for complex systems and systems‑of‑systems.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in adopting SysML, UML, and advanced modeling tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect, MagicDraw) to ensure traceability, compliance, and reusability.
- Drive continuous improvement of the technical charter, operating model, and best practices for systems engineering.
- Mentor and develop the Technical Center’s engineering community, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering with a strong focus on MBSE.
- Proficiency in SysML, UML, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect or MagicDraw.
- Deep understanding of DoD standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, ISO 26262) and agile development practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
