About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the system architecture for the Javelin missile program, ensuring traceability from requirements to verification.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in the development, integration, and testing of hardware and software components.
- Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as IBM DOORS and SysML to capture and manage system requirements.
- Develop and review critical software modules in C++ and Python, supporting real‑time guidance and control functions.
- Implement Agile and DevSecOps processes to accelerate delivery while maintaining rigorous security and quality standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure best practices across the program.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship with an active Secret DoD security clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience on complex defense or aerospace programs, preferably missile systems.
- Proficiency in MBSE methodologies, requirements management (DOORS), and system integration.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, with experience in real‑time embedded systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead Agile teams and deliver high‑quality technical solutions in a secure environment.
