Systems Engineer
Lead the design and integration of complex aerospace systems for the Helios program, applying model‑based systems engineering, architecture development, and rigorous safety standards using C++ and MATLAB.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop system architecture and interfaces for the Helios aerospace platform.
- Lead model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, creating SysML models and maintaining traceability from requirements to verification.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure requirements are captured, analyzed, and validated against program objectives.
- Drive compliance with safety and certification standards such as DO‑178C and DO‑254, overseeing verification and validation processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on system design, integration, and risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Active Secret DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering for aerospace or defense programs.
- Proficiency in MBSE tools, SysML, and requirements management (e.g., DOORS, Jama).
- Strong programming skills in C++ and MATLAB for analysis and simulation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi‑disciplinary projects and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
