Lead the design and integration of cloud‑connected flight deck systems, driving human‑factors engineering, real‑time software, and avionics architecture for next‑generation aircraft and advanced air‑mobility platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop the software platform for the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck, ensuring cloud‑native connectivity and real‑time performance.
- Lead human‑factors analysis and interface design to optimize pilot interaction and situational awareness.
- Define and enforce safety and certification requirements (e.g., DO‑178C) across hardware and software components.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—systems, hardware, and data engineers—to deliver end‑to‑end flight‑deck solutions for commercial, defense, and AAM aircraft.
- Drive Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices, creating system models, requirements traceability, and verification plans.
Requirements
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience in avionics or aerospace, with a focus on flight‑deck or cockpit systems.
- Strong proficiency in C++ development on Linux/RTOS environments and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Demonstrated expertise in human‑factors engineering, user‑centered design, and cockpit ergonomics.
- Experience with safety‑critical standards (DO‑178C, ARP4754) and certification processes.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex system integrations.
