Systems Engineer
Lead the design, integration, and validation of advanced MEMS sensor systems for aerospace applications, leveraging embedded firmware, Linux, and RTOS expertise to deliver high‑reliability solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee the development of MEMS sensor subsystems, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with aerospace standards.
- Lead firmware and embedded software development in C/C++ on Linux/RTOS platforms, integrating sensor data streams into larger avionics architectures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to define requirements, conduct trade studies, and resolve technical issues.
- Drive test planning, execution, and analysis for hardware and software validation, including environmental, vibration, and functional testing.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on MEMS or sensor technologies.
- Proficiency in embedded C/C++ development on Linux/RTOS platforms.
- Strong understanding of aerospace standards (MIL‑STD, DO‑178C) and qualification processes.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, communication, and ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required.
