Systems Engineer
Lead the design, integration, and operation of high‑altitude platform systems, delivering persistent connectivity services for mobile and satellite operators using cloud‑native architecture and advanced networking techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee the end‑to‑end design of high‑altitude platform systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance with aviation and telecom regulations.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in integrating satellite, terrestrial, and cloud components to deliver seamless Connectivity as a Service (CaaS) to diverse customers.
- Develop and maintain system‑level performance models, fault‑tolerance strategies, and continuous‑delivery pipelines using Python and Linux environments.
- Collaborate with network operators to define service level agreements, capacity planning, and disaster‑recovery scenarios for rural and overlay deployments.
- Drive innovation in autonomous flight control, payload management, and data‑link optimization to extend day/night operational endurance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering for aerospace or telecom platforms, with a proven track record in high‑altitude or satellite systems.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud architecture, and CaaS delivery models.
- Proficiency in Python, Linux, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards in aviation or space environments is a plus.
