Principal System Safety Engineer - Solidus Technical Solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of system safety programs in accordance with MIL‑STD‑882E.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety reviews throughout the product lifecycle from concept to disposal.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to identify safety requirements, define mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with military safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including safety plans, risk assessments, and safety case evidence.
• Provide expert guidance on safety-related design decisions and support certification and audit activities.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in system safety engineering for defense or aerospace applications.
• Deep knowledge of MIL‑STD‑882E and related safety standards.
• Proven track record of leading safety programs and delivering safety documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
