Principal System Engineer - Raytheon

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own system architecture and integration strategy for high‑impact defense programs.
• Develop and maintain model‑based system models, ensuring traceability from requirements to verification.
• Lead cross‑functional teams in Agile environments, coordinating software, hardware, and test efforts.
• Produce technical documentation, trade studies, and risk assessments for senior leadership.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce best practices in coding, configuration management, and security compliance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of systems engineering experience on DoD or aerospace programs.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python development on Linux operating systems.
• Strong background in Model‑Based Systems Engineering (e.g., SysML, MBSE tools).
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex requirements and perform trade analyses.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one upon hire.
