Systems Engineer
Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of complex enterprise systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across Linux and Windows environments using scripting, virtualization, and directory services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage large‑scale Linux and Windows Server infrastructures supporting mission‑critical applications.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) for provisioning, configuration, and patch management.
- Oversee virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and ensure optimal resource utilization and disaster recovery readiness.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity management to enforce security and compliance standards.
- Monitor system performance, conduct root‑cause analysis, and lead incident response for high‑severity outages.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- 10+ years of hands‑on experience administering Linux and Windows Server environments in a DoD or classified setting.
- Proficiency in PowerShell (or Python) scripting for automation and orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V) and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with security hardening, patch management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., DISA STIG, NIST).
