Lead complex subsystems integration for advanced defense platforms, driving architecture, design, and validation using C/C++, MATLAB, and embedded systems expertise while ensuring compliance with DoD security standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and integrate subsystems across avionics, propulsion, and mission payloads, ensuring seamless interoperability and performance targets.
- Lead design reviews, interface specifications, and configuration management for multi‑vendor hardware and software components.
- Develop and execute rigorous test plans, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop and flight‑ready validation, to certify system readiness.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (software, hardware, systems engineering) to resolve integration issues and optimize system performance.
- Maintain and improve integration processes, tools, and documentation to support continuous improvement and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in subsystems integration for defense or aerospace platforms.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and MATLAB for embedded system development and analysis.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, interface control, and test methodology.
- Active U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret) or ability to obtain one prior to start date.
