Software Engineer
Lead the design and delivery of high‑availability, cloud‑native services for PNC’s SRC First Response platform, leveraging Python, Java, AWS, and microservices architecture to drive innovation and operational excellence.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable, secure microservices in Python and Java, deployed on AWS.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in Agile environments, driving end‑to‑end delivery of mission‑critical features.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability solutions to ensure high reliability.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and operations teams to embed best practices into the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on backend services.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, and AWS services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3).
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture, containerization, and cloud deployment.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and automated testing frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of leading technical teams.
