Accountabilities:

The Principal Software Engineer will own the development of the application and cognitive layers that power intelligent robotic experiences. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to translate complex AI capabilities into reliable, user-focused robotic behaviors.

• Design and develop high-level application software, interaction workflows, and robotic behavioral systems that enable intelligent robot experiences.
• Build orchestration logic that converts human speech, gestures, environmental inputs, and contextual signals into reliable robotic actions.
• Develop multimodal interaction systems integrating voice, vision, spatial awareness, and contextual understanding.
• Create advanced voice applications supporting speech recognition, natural language understanding, dialogue management, wake-word detection, and text-to-speech capabilities.
• Build Agentic AI workflows using large language models (LLMs), vision-language models (VLMs), memory systems, tool-calling frameworks, and reasoning engines.
• Integrate robotic capabilities including navigation, manipulation, perception, and device-control services into application workflows.
• Design software architectures that balance edge computing requirements with cloud-based AI services for performance and scalability.
• Develop integrations between robotic platforms, mobile devices, enterprise applications, smart ecosystems, and cloud APIs.
• Implement telemetry, logging, evaluation systems, and feedback loops that support continuous improvement of AI models and applications.
• Contribute to production readiness through automated testing, debugging, observability, CI/CD practices, and deployment processes.
