Lead DevOps Engineer driving cloud-native infrastructure, automation, and secure CI/CD pipelines for aerospace applications using Python, Node.js, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and advanced DevSecOps practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS for mission‑critical aerospace systems.
- Lead the development and automation of CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions to accelerate delivery cycles.
- Collaborate with software, security, and operations teams to embed DevSecOps principles, ensuring compliance with DoD security standards.
- Mentor and coach engineering teams on best practices for cloud architecture, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, reliability, and cost across multi‑region deployments.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on DevOps and cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, Node.js, and AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
- Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and DoD compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
