Systems Engineer
Lead complex defense system development as a Principal Systems Engineer, driving architecture, integration, and verification using MBSE, C++, and Linux while navigating DoD acquisition and Agile processes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve system architecture and requirements for high‑impact defense programs.
- Lead Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities, creating and maintaining system models, interfaces, and verification plans.
- Develop and review critical software components in C++ on Linux platforms, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including hardware, software, and test engineers—to integrate subsystems and resolve technical issues.
- Guide Agile development cycles, facilitate sprint planning, and ensure compliance with DoD acquisition and security standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of systems engineering experience on large‑scale defense or aerospace programs.
- Proficiency with MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, MagicDraw) and hands‑on C++ development on Linux.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams through concept, design, integration, and verification phases.
- Active Top‑Secret clearance (or ability to obtain) and familiarity with DoD acquisition processes.
- Strong communication skills and experience working in Agile, cross‑functional environments.
