Systems Engineer
Lead the design and integration of advanced radar systems, driving architecture, signal processing, and embedded software development while ensuring security compliance and mission readiness.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop next‑generation radar system concepts from requirements through detailed design and verification.
- Lead signal‑processing algorithm development using MATLAB, C++, and Python to meet performance and detection goals.
- Design, implement, and validate embedded software and firmware for real‑time radar processors.
- Collaborate with RF hardware teams to define antenna, front‑end, and transceiver specifications and ensure seamless integration.
- Provide technical mentorship to senior engineers and oversee code reviews, design documentation, and configuration management.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, Radar Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of radar system experience.
- Proficiency in radar signal processing, RF system design, and embedded software development (C++/Python).
- Extensive hands‑on experience with MATLAB for algorithm prototyping and simulation.
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain) and familiarity with defense‑grade development processes.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to lead cross‑functional teams, and excellent technical communication.
