About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and optimize neutral‑atom quantum hardware, including laser systems, vacuum chambers, and cryogenic environments.
- Develop and benchmark quantum algorithms tailored to neutral‑atom architectures, ensuring high‑fidelity gate operations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware, software, and control systems for end‑to‑end quantum processor performance.
- Lead experimental design, data analysis, and troubleshooting to push the limits of qubit coherence and scalability.
- Publish findings and contribute to open‑source tools that advance the neutral‑atom quantum community.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent experience in physics, electrical engineering, or computer science with a focus on quantum information.
- Deep expertise in neutral‑atom or trapped‑ion quantum computing, including optical trapping and laser cooling.
- Proficiency in quantum algorithm design, error mitigation, and performance modeling.
- Strong programming skills in Python or C++ for simulation and control software.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of publishing in peer‑reviewed journals.
