Devops Engineer
Lead the design and evolution of cloud‑native platforms at scale, driving Kubernetes, Terraform, and automation practices while mentoring teams and shaping engineering standards across critical UK services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and operate highly available, secure Kubernetes clusters that serve mission‑critical workloads.
- Define and implement infrastructure‑as‑code standards using Terraform and related tooling.
- Develop automation and CI/CD pipelines in Go and Python to accelerate delivery and improve reliability.
- Collaborate with software engineering, SRE, and security teams to embed platform best practices into the development lifecycle.
- Mentor senior engineers, lead technical discussions, and influence the overall engineering culture and standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in platform, DevOps, or SRE roles with a strong focus on Kubernetes and cloud native technologies.
- Deep expertise in Terraform, AWS services, and Linux system administration.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Go and Python for tooling and automation.
- Demonstrated ability to design and operate large‑scale, highly available platforms and to lead technical teams.
- Strong communication skills and a track record of influencing engineering processes and standards.
