Security Engineer
Lead design, implementation, and automation of secure cloud platforms using Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and Python on AWS, ensuring compliance with TS/SCI requirements and driving DevSecOps best practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and operate highly available, secure Kubernetes platforms on AWS, incorporating Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that embed automated security testing, code analysis, and compliance checks.
- Develop Python automation tools for provisioning, configuration management, and incident response across the platform.
- Collaborate with security teams to integrate TS/SCI and polygraph clearance requirements into platform hardening and continuous monitoring.
- Mentor engineering teams on DevSecOps practices, threat modeling, and secure coding standards.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and U.S. citizenship.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, with deep expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS services.
- Proven track record building CI/CD pipelines that include automated security scanning and compliance enforcement.
- Strong programming skills in Python and scripting for automation and tooling.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps processes in highly regulated, government‑focused environments.
