About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day hardware operations, including installation, configuration, and lifecycle management of servers, storage, and networking equipment.
- Lead incident response and root‑cause analysis for critical outages, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to implement rapid remediation and long‑term fixes.
- Design and implement preventive maintenance schedules, capacity planning, and performance tuning to maximize uptime and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering to integrate on‑prem hardware with hybrid cloud environments, ensuring seamless data flow and redundancy.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and best‑practice guidelines for hardware and data‑center procedures.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data‑center operations, with a strong focus on hardware and system administration.
- Proficient in Linux system administration, networking protocols, and virtualization technologies.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid‑cloud integration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead technical teams.
- Valid security clearance or willingness to obtain one is a plus.
