Lead design and implementation of large‑scale network automation solutions, leveraging Python, Ansible, and REST APIs to programmatically manage Cisco and Juniper fiber infrastructure.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end automation frameworks for a nationwide fiber network.
- Design reusable playbooks, modules, and APIs using Python and Ansible to provision, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco IOS and Juniper Junos devices.
- Integrate automation pipelines with CI/CD tools and version control (Git) to ensure reliable, repeatable deployments.
- Collaborate with network operations, engineering, and security teams to define standards, enforce compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor senior engineers, conduct code reviews, and lead technical workshops on automation best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of network engineering experience with a focus on automation and large‑scale fiber deployments.
- Advanced proficiency in Python scripting and Ansible playbook development.
- Deep knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, and related routing/switching protocols.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently, and proven leadership in guiding technical teams.
