Principal Mission Systems Engineer - Satellite Systems and Software - Honeywell Aerospace

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑disciplinary teams in the design, development, and integration of optical and science instruments for satellite missions.
• Develop and validate embedded software solutions that meet stringent performance and reliability requirements.
• Drive the full mission development life cycle, from concept and requirements through testing, launch, and operations.
• Collaborate with business development to translate customer needs into technical specifications and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements for space and defense missions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in satellite mission systems engineering and optical communications.
• Proficiency in embedded software development and real‑time operating systems.
• Strong background in Earth observation, atmospheric monitoring, or space situational awareness.
